About this role
AWS is looking for a Software Development Engineer to build and enhance the core functionality of the AWS Internet Monitoring service. The role focuses on autonomous software systems that optimize traffic and improve network performance using Generative AI techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced algorithms to automate and optimize Internet Monitoring operations using Generative AI techniques
- Build autonomous controller services that observe network state and optimize traffic based on programmable business logic
- Design, test, and deploy production-grade software integrating Generative AI capabilities
- Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies and methodologies for network monitoring
- Participate in code reviews and improve documentation and development processes
Technical Overview
You will design, test, and deploy production-grade monitoring and control software, integrating Generative AI capabilities while ensuring system reliability and operational excellence. The work includes building real-time, scalable services for planet-scale networks and contributing through code reviews and continuous process improvements.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a software development engineer with strong experience building always-on, highly available services for application and network monitoring on Amazon Web Services. They should be able to implement autonomous controller logic for network state observation and traffic optimization, and integrate Generative AI techniques into production-grade systems with a focus on reliability.
