You will lead a team within AI Studios for Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios to build an AI-native content creation platform. The role emphasizes technical vision, roadmap execution, architecture across backend/media/ML, and measurable operational excellence under SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the team charter and technical vision
- Own the roadmap and delivery goals
- Lead, mentor, and grow software development engineers, define metrics for progress, customer experience, and operational excellence
- Drive architectural decisions across backend services, media processing pipelines, APIs, and ML platform
Technical Overview
The position covers end-to-end architecture and delivery across backend services, media processing pipelines, APIs, and an ML platform (training and inference). You will define metrics for development progress, customer experience, and operational excellence in a distributed computing environment.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering leader with 3+ years of engineering team management and 8+ years leading multi-tier web services development. They have deep experience partnering across engineering and non-technical stakeholders, and they are comfortable owning technical vision, roadmap execution, and architecture decisions for AI/ML-enabled products in large-scale systems with SLAs.
