About this role

Kalos is seeking a Software Engineer to build consumer apps and internal AI-powered tools for healthtech. As the second engineering hire, you’ll own full-stack development, collaborate with researchers, and ship production-ready software for health tracking and DEXA integrations.

Develop consumer apps and web experiences for members; integrate software with DEXA machine; build AI-powered coaching tools; ship end-to-end web applications and backend services; collaborate with researchers and coaches

Technical Overview

Scope includes TypeScript/React/Node.js full-stack development, Python scripting, relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server), cloud deployment (AWS), and AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor) to integrate with medical devices and analytics workflows.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level software engineer with strong full-stack skills in TypeScript/React/Node.js, comfortable with Python and AI tooling, able to ship end-to-end web apps, and familiar with relational databases and cloud platforms.
