About this role
Boeing seeks Software Engineers-Developers to join the Air Dominance team in Berkeley, MO to design and implement cloud-native mission planning software. The role spans development, testing, and pipeline tooling within Agile environments, with responsibilities across front-end and back-end layers and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software design, coding and unit/integration testing of features/user stories
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Work in small to medium agile teams
- Develop scalable and resilient front and backend solutions using cloud technologies
- Assist in the design, development and maintenance of software pipelines and tools
Technical Overview
Stack includes Python, JavaScript, SQL, REST, C/C#, Docker, Kubernetes; cloud platforms AWS/Azure/GCP; front-end React/Redux; backend services; CI/CD pipelines; DevSecOps; MBSE tools (Cameo, Rhapsody); agile tools (Jira/Confluence).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior software engineer with cloud and DevSecOps experience, proficient in Python, JavaScript, SQL, and modern web tech, and able to design and deliver cloud-native mission-planning software for defense programs. Must be able to work in a large Agile environment, possess cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and have familiarity with MBSE and aircraft-domain tools (JMPS/JOMS/NOMS, Cameo, Rhapsody).
