About this role

Global Payments is hiring a Software Engineer for Development and Product Support, working in a hybrid model with in-office days in Alpharetta or Atlanta. The role supports the full software development life cycle by coding, debugging, testing, documenting, and ensuring compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and debug applications across the software development life cycle
  • Create and deliver program specifications for code development and support
  • Analyze and modify code/unit testing and perform testing and validation
  • Apply PCI security compliance and support business/infrastructure application standards
  • Participate in client-facing meetings and assist with estimates and on-the-job training

Technical Overview

The position involves building basic to moderately complex code across front-end and/or back-end technologies, performing unit testing and validation for code changes, and maintaining application documentation and development standards. It also includes supporting delivery plans across multiple projects and enforcing PCI security compliance controls.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an entry-level software engineer who can work through the software development life cycle, code and debug applications, and write/modify unit tests and documentation. They are comfortable supporting development and product issues, participating in client-facing meetings, and applying Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance standards.
