About this role

Scale AI is hiring a Gen AI-focused Software Engineer to design and implement end-to-end features across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure, contributing to our Generative AI Data Engine that powers leading LLMs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement features end-to-end across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure
  • Build features end-to-end using TypeScript, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch, and contribute to our compute orchestration layer powered by Temporal
  • Own high-impact technical systems critical to Scale’s revenue delivery
  • Build and iterate on complex systems that scale to millions of tasks per week
  • Collaborate with model teams, Forward Deployed Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders

Technical Overview

The role involves building scalable systems using React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Temporal for orchestration, with RLHF integration for model evaluation and safety.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level software engineer with 3+ years of experience building and shipping products at scale, proficient with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and data tools like MongoDB and Elasticsearch. Experience with Temporal for orchestration and RLHF is a plus.
