Software Engineer II will design, develop, and support NCHS websites and distributed software applications. The role focuses on feature development with long-term stability, quality code, and production support using Agile/Scrum practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain NCHS web application systems
Design, develop, and maintain NCHS web content using content management tools or desktop publishing apps
Ensure code quality and deploy bug-free features to production
Use Scrum and Agile methodologies across the full life cycle of development
Provide client communication and technical direction, including resolving client issues

Uses a modern stack including HTML, JavaScript, .NET, React, Angular, C#, MVC, Git, jQuery, Bootstrap, Visual Studio, and database/API technologies such as SQL, LINQ, Entity Framework, XML, JSON, and Web API.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level software engineer with 4–7 years of experience building and supporting information systems and healthcare web applications. They are proficient with common front-end and back-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, .NET, React/Angular, C#, MVC) and have strong database skills (SQL, LINQ, Entity Framework). They also have Agile/Scrum experience and can write quality code, test, debug, and document work for production deployments.
