About this role

Build, modify, test, and validate applications across the software development life cycle in a fintech/payments environment. Use APIs and database technologies (relational and NoSQL) while following Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop basic to moderately complex code and deliver routine program specifications
  • Analyze, modify, and develop code with unit testing and validation
  • Perform corrective measures and escalate alternative proposals
  • Apply moderate understanding of application standards including Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams in a flexible development environment

Technical Overview

Responsible for coding work in front or back end programming languages, with unit testing and testing/validation of code changes. Works with APIs and external services and develops with both relational and NoSQL databases while ensuring PCI security compliance in a payments context.

The ideal candidate is a mid-level Software Engineer II with 2+ years of professional experience coding, designing, developing, and analyzing data across the software development life cycle. They have hands-on unit testing experience and familiarity with working with various APIs and external services, including both relational and NoSQL databases. They understand Payment Card Industry (PCI) security compliance expectations in a payments environment.
