About this role

Okta is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the AV/UC Automation team. You will design, build, and maintain automations for core SaaS platforms, develop internal microservices, and implement infrastructure-as-code to eliminate manual overhead.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deploy automated workflows for AV/UC SaaS platforms using APIs and webhooks
Build, maintain, and scale internal services and self-service tools
Implement infrastructure automation with IaC for deployment/configuration/monitoring
Integrate enterprise systems for data flow and process automation
Lead code reviews, testing, and operational excellence

Technical Overview

The role involves backend and automation work using languages like Python/Go/JavaScript/C#, RESTful APIs, and cloud/container technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes). You will design secure, automated workflows, and contribute to testing and observability across AV/UC infrastructure.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level software engineer with 2-4 years of backend automation experience, strong API and cloud experience, and a track record of building scalable automation for enterprise SaaS platforms. They are comfortable working across multiple AV/UC platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable automation tooling.
