About this role

Software Engineer III role on Availity’s Provider Lifecycle Solutions (PLS) team. You will design and implement cloud-native, full-stack solutions to improve stability, scalability, and extensibility across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud-native, full-stack solutions
Set engineering standards and shape architectural direction
Mentor developers and collaborate with product and engineering leaders
Build and operate data-intensive services using Scala, Python, and Apache Spark
Develop distributed, event-driven, service-to-service workflows for provider lifecycle workflows

Technical Overview

Build production-grade Java and modern JavaScript (React preferred) full-stack applications. Operate data-intensive services with Scala, Python, and Apache Spark, and deploy on AWS using Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, MWAA, and CloudWatch.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience building production-grade applications using Java and modern JavaScript frameworks, ideally with React. They have strong full-stack experience plus data-intensive capabilities using Scala, Python, and Apache Spark, and hands-on AWS experience across Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, MWAA, and CloudWatch.
