PDQ is hiring a Software Engineer in Test to improve the quality and reliability of PDQ Connect through both manual testing and automated test development. The role includes building test environments, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring others while maintaining stable, non-flaky test suites.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in testing across the software development life cycle
Research, document, and report bugs
Build test environments for testing
Utilize TypeScript, Python, and PowerShell to support testing
Expand automated test suites in Playwright or Pester

Technical Overview

You will test a cloud-hosted, agent-based platform (PDQ Connect) using automation frameworks like Playwright and Pester, with scripting in TypeScript, Python, and PowerShell. You will collaborate in an Agile environment, contribute to code reviews, and expand automated test suites while integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a test engineer with strong manual testing and automation experience, specifically using Playwright and/or Cypress to build and maintain automated test suites. They have hands-on skills in TypeScript, Python, and PowerShell, understand CI/CD pipelines, and can troubleshoot customer-facing issues while improving test design and reliability.
