Cardiff is seeking a Software Engineer focused on AI technologies to rapidly prototype LLM-powered tools and workflows. The role emphasizes experimentation and building proofs of concept quickly, then handing off validated prototypes to the broader engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Rapidly prototype AI-powered tools and workflows
Build functional proofs of concept with LLMs and agents
Experiment with emerging LLMs and AI platforms
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify AI automation opportunities
Document findings and hand off validated prototypes for productionization

Technical Overview

You will build and test LLM integrations using Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT, leveraging tools like OpenClaw and LangChain. The work includes prompt engineering, agent workflows, and (optionally) RAG, vector databases, and fine-tuning.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a software engineer with hands-on experience building LLM-powered prototypes using Claude, Gemini, and/or ChatGPT, including prompt engineering and API integration. They can rapidly experiment to produce working proofs of concept (often with OpenClaw and/or LangChain) and communicate results clearly in a fast-moving environment.
