About this role
Scale AI is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build foundational platform data infrastructure and cloud infrastructure used across Scale's AI products.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the design and implementation of foundational platforms and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve programming practices, tooling, and deployments
- Present technical information to teams and stakeholders and guide development processes
- Own successful engineering projects with independent ownership
Technical Overview
The role requires backend, distributed systems, and cloud experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and data tooling (MongoDB, Postgres, PostgreSQL, Dagster, dbt, Snowflake).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a mid-level software engineer with 3+ years of backend/platform experience, strong distributed systems and cloud skills (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker), and a track record of independent project ownership.
