About this role
Serve as a DO-178 Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer responsible for ensuring software development processes and deliverables meet DO-178 certification standards. Support planning, execution, and auditing of quality activities and provide focused safety relevant verification support for safety impacting functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Support DO-178C certification activities (SOI-1 through SOI-4)
- Prepare, review, and refine certification artifacts (PSAC, SDP, SVP, SCMP)
- Perform SQA audits and ensure compliance
- Provide safety relevant verification support (tracing, gap identification, evidence coverage)
- Coordinate with engineering to ensure verification evidence covers safety impacting functionality
Technical Overview
Focused on DO-178C compliance across multiple programs, including SQA audits and certification artifact preparation/review (PSAC, SDP, SVP, SCMP). Conduct safety relevant verification support such as tracing safety mechanisms, identifying gaps in safety critical requirements, and coordinating evidence adequacy for certification.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced DO-178 Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer who has supported certification activities across SOI-1 through SOI-4. They have hands-on experience with DO-178C certification artifacts (PSAC, SDP, SVP, SCMP) and can perform SQA audits and safety relevant verification activities such as tracing safety mechanisms and ensuring verification evidence covers safety impacting functionality.
