About this role

This role is a Specialist, Cloud Software Engineer position with L3Harris’ Mission Networks team, building modern cloud-enabled telecommunications and information management capabilities. The work includes developing cloud software in Agile, applying DevOps automation for build/test/deploy, and supporting operational reliability with high availability and SLA adherence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate Cloud software applications in an Agile environment
  • Implement program-required cloud capabilities aligned to roadmap and business vision
  • Use DevOps concepts to build and improve automated build, test, and deployment environments
  • Provide operational support to meet high availability and other SLAs
  • Obtain a US Security Clearance

Technical Overview

The engineer will design, develop, and integrate Cloud software applications, configuring deployment environments for end-to-end integration between cloud and non-cloud components. The stack targets major cloud service providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) and emphasizes DevOps automation, with preferred experience deploying microservices to Kubernetes environments such as EKS and OpenShift.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced Cloud Software Engineer who can design, develop, and integrate cloud-based applications in an Agile environment while applying DevOps best practices for automated build, test, and deployment. They have strong hands-on cloud platform experience across major providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) and ideally experience deploying microservices to Kubernetes environments such as EKS and OpenShift, along with the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
