About this role

Work within BNY Investments and Wealth Data Governance to support development and improvement of reporting processes and to remediate data quality issues. You will analyze regulatory reporting requirements, coordinate with technology and platform teams, and help implement governance processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Support development of new reporting processes and improvements to existing ones
Analyze regulatory reporting requirements and drive data quality remediations
Partner with technology, product, and platform teams on data changes and data straight through processing
Implement data governance processes/controls using the standard framework
Create functional specifications and lead testing, training, and process implementation

Technical Overview

Primarily data analysis and governance implementation: use Excel and SQL to analyze reporting needs, drive data quality remediations at the database level, and translate requirements via functional specifications to IT development teams. Partner to test, train, and implement changes, including data straight through processing improvements.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a mid-level Specialist in Data Governance with 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or related engineering background. They are strong in Excel and SQL and have experience supporting regulatory reporting needs, performing data quality remediation (at the database level), and partnering with technology and business teams to implement governance controls.

Must-Have Skills
