About this role
Specialist, Data Loss Prevention on Prudential's Insider Risk Team focuses on mitigating data loss risk and refining automation to reduce manual effort. The role involves DLP rule development, cloud security controls, and cross-functional collaboration to improve detection and response.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and remediation of data loss events
- Identify governance, process and data loss resiliency improvement areas; propose changes to eliminate redundant work by leveraging automation
- Partner with business stakeholders to align the DLP function with business strategies, goals, missions, and objectives
- Conduct research to improve accuracy across systems and minimize false positives through use of technology and data analytics
- Lead DLP rule development lifecycle including policy development, response rules, and maintenance
Technical Overview
Stack includes DLP, EDR/EDR-like tooling, SIEM (Splunk), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud). You will engineer alerts, analyze events, and integrate intelligence into security operations with a focus on cloud-based infrastructure.
