About this role
This role supports Identity & Access Management for mainframe security operations, including password and access change processing, RACF administration tasks, and certificate workflow support. The specialist will follow runbooks step-by-step, record evidence in tickets, keep audit-ready documentation, and grow into deeper mainframe security expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily mainframe security operational and project work
- Process password updates/resets and access changes using runbooks and ticket evidence
- Assist with RACF administration (user IDs, group membership, permissions) under supervision
- Support certificate workflows including renewal inputs and validation checks
- Maintain traceable audit-ready documentation and contribute to automation
Technical Overview
The technical environment is centered on IBM mainframe security administration concepts: RACF administration, TSO/ISPF, and JCL. You will execute operational security tasks under supervision, learn core RACF commands, support certificate renewals with validation checks, and gradually automate manual security work.
