About this role
Per Diem Speech Therapist evaluates and treats patients under speech-language pathology services, covering neonatal to geriatric populations with competency in MBSS and comprehensive assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Responds to physician orders for speech therapy
- Administers and interprets tests and measurements of patients
- Reviews patient charts and progress prior to treatment
- Develops functional goals based on patient/family expectations
- Develops, improves, and restores cognitive skills, language comprehension, and language expression
Technical Overview
Clinical SLP scope includes assessment, testing, treatment planning, and communication disorders management; requires CCC/ASHA and state licensure with BLS.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a licensed SLP with ASHA CCC, BLS, and MBSS competency, capable of serving neonatal through geriatric patients on a per diem basis.
