About this role
Sr. communication research scientist for Amazon Leo, responsible for design and integration of Ka/ S-band payloads and ground terminals, developing L1/L2 HW/SW/sharp DSP architectures and simulation/testbeds for a high-performance LEO network.
Key Responsibilities
- Design L1/L2 algorithms for Leo system; develop proof-of-concept HW/SW using SDRs; collaborate with ASIC teams for L1/L2 accelerators; specify embedded HW/SW architectures; develop system integration and testbeds
Technical Overview
Focuses on advanced wireless systems, MIMO, DSP, HDL design, FPGA/SoC integration, and HW/SW co-design across SDRs and RF test environments; emphasizes system-level integration from PHY to network layer.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a PhD or Master with 5+ years in wireless system research, deep expertise in DSP, MIMO, HDL, and hands-on hardware-software co-design across FPGAs, SDRs, and SoCs, capable of building L1/L2 HW/SW solutions and integrated testbeds.
