Sr Cost Accountant NA is responsible for managing the cost accounting system and producing accurate inventory valuations and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting. The role performs close activities, maintains standard costs, analyzes manufacturing variances, and supports audits, budgeting, forecasting, and product costing for the North American IDS region.

  • Perform month-end and year-end cost accounting close procedures

  • Ensure inventory management via cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and E&O reserves
  • Support audits and compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), GAAP, and SOX while providing product costing for pricing and transfer pricing

You will run month-end and year-end cost accounting close, maintain material/labor/overhead standard costs, and perform variance analysis including Material/PPV, labor, and overheads. The job requires strong controls and compliance work (Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), GAAP, and SOX) plus ERP systems proficiency (Oracle preferred) and general ledger reconciliations for inventory accounts.

The ideal candidate is a mid-level cost accounting professional with 3-5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or process environment. They can run month-end and year-end close activities, maintain standard costs, analyze Material/PPV and other manufacturing variances, and ensure compliance with CAS, GAAP, and SOX controls while partnering with operations and supply chain teams.
