Senior Engineer responsible for delivering data center projects with VMware technologies and converged infrastructure, spanning on-premises hardware and cloud offerings. The role requires hands-on technical delivery, architectural guidance, and collaboration with customers and teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and deliver complex DC projects
- Establish credibility with customers and manage engagements
- Lead complex projects and coordinate teams
- Interact with other WWT organizations
- Adhere to WWT core values and travel up to 75%
Technical Overview
The role centers on VMware Cloud Foundation, NSX, Aria, and converged hardware (Cisco UCS, Dell VxRail) with Linux/Unix/Windows environments, storage and SAN migrations, and cloud integration. Automation and virtualization are key components.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior data center engineer with at least 5 years delivering data center projects, strong VMware expertise (VCF/NSX/Aria), and the ability to obtain a secret clearance. They should be comfortable working remotely with exposure to public/hybrid/private cloud environments and have hands-on experience with diverse hardware platforms (Cisco UCS, Dell VxRail).
