About this role
Senior engineering design technician role focused on developing designs, layouts, construction drawings, and bill of materials for large utility projects across Exelon's infrastructure. Responsibilities include field engineering, applying standards, and supporting New Business installations and storm-related work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of material for large projects and complex systems involving installation/removal/modification; Interprets and applies engineering standards and memos; Assists with technical consultation and plan developments; Evaluates design processes; Supports customer and internal teams
Technical Overview
Work involves electrical, mechanical system interpretation, high-level design for generation/ transmission/ distribution facilities, CAD/Computer Aided Design, and BOM creation.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior engineering design tech with 3+ years of hands-on experience in electrical/utility infrastructure design, proficient in CAD, and capable of interpreting high-level engineering standards. They should be comfortable coordinating with field teams and supporting 24x7 operations during outages or emergencies.
