About this role
Sr. Fire Protection Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering, responsible for fire protection design across AWS data centers, including suppression, detection, alarm, life safety, and compliance with NFPA/ICC standards, with travel up to 25%.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving improvement of design standards and project approaches across the organization
- Review concept designs for compliance with standards
- Provide high-quality fire protection engineering guidance globally
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams
- Ensure documentation, code compliance, and AHJ approvals
Technical Overview
Leads prescriptive and performance-based fire protection design, reviews construction documents, coordinates with AHJs and utilities, and ensures code compliance and effective life-safety systems for data centers.

The ideal candidate is a senior fire protection engineer with extensive data center design experience, licensed as a Fire Protection Engineer, and proficient in NFPA and ICC standards, AHJ coordination, and performance-based design elements for global data center projects.
