About this role
Senior Service Desk / Field Engineer responsible for end-user computing and workplace technology, owning onsite support and driving automation initiatives across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field support operations for site, workstation provisioning, network connectivity, A/V systems, and executive-level support
- Advanced Troubleshooting across desktop, network, and SaaS environments
- Automation Leadership: design and maintain advanced automation scripts and workflows (PowerShell, Python)
- Infrastructure Collaboration: partner with network, systems, and security teams
- Process & Documentation: author and maintain knowledge base articles, runbooks, and SOPs
Technical Overview
Hands-on in Google Workspace, endpoints (Mac/Windows), identity (Okta/CyberArk), collaboration tools (Zoom/Slack), VPN, and MDM (Intune, JAMF); supports A/V, field provisioning; uses ServiceNow for ticketing.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior IT field engineer with strong end-user computing and identity management experience, able to own onsite support at the Palo Alto HQ and collaborate with global IT teams.
