About this role

This role leads Republic Services’ Data Enablement efforts by acting as a key IT partner to corporate business areas. The manager oversees analytical solution delivery, governance, and a combined on-shore/off-shore team responsible for design, development, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead building data analytics platform, tools, processes, and solutions
Develop corporate data strategy leveraging ETL, CDC, data warehousing, data marts, and operational data stores
Partner with functional teams to deploy analytical insights and solutions
Ensure solution delivery meets service level agreements and participate in data governance
Oversee software development life cycle and manage on-shore/off-shore team staffing and performance

Technical Overview

The position focuses on building data analytics platforms and a corporate data strategy leveraging ETL, CDC, data warehousing, data marts, and operational data stores. The role also spans business intelligence toolsets (Cognos, Hyperion, Qlik, Microsoft SSRS, Microsoft PowerBI), database technologies (Oracle, SQL server, Teradata, MongoDB, Cassandra, MarkLogic, DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora), and end-to-end SDLC delivery with SLA compliance.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior data enablement leader who has managed both offshore and local teams and built analytical solutions using modern data platform patterns. They bring strong experience with ETL/CDC, data warehousing and marts, business intelligence tools (including Cognos and Microsoft PowerBI), and familiarity with governance and SDLC-driven delivery.
