About this role
As a Human Resources Sr Manager, you will provide HR leadership and support for Baxter Healthcare Corporation’s Cartago manufacturing plant. You will manage HR operations, partner with leadership on business and employee issues, and drive talent and performance programs while ensuring compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop HR plans and strategies for strategic objectives
- Handle HR operational transactions in HRIS (Workday) and timekeeping/payroll (Kronos) systems
- Manage employee relations, staffing, and compensation; facilitate New Hire Orientation and HR Training
- Lead talent planning initiatives including assessment, development planning, and organizational planning
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations while providing advice and counsel for fair and equitable outcomes
Technical Overview
The role emphasizes HR operations using HRIS (Workday) and timekeeping/payroll (Kronos), plus structured recordkeeping and documentation using Microsoft Applications and specialized systems. It also includes compensation and benefits administration and performance management support for internal Centers of Excellence.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior HR leader with hands-on experience managing employee relations, onboarding, and talent planning for a manufacturing site. They have strong HRIS experience using Workday and payroll/timekeeping exposure with Kronos, and they can partner with leadership to drive continuous improvement and fair, compliant HR programs.
