About this role
This role is for a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician leading installation, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support operations maintenance by designing solutions for difficult problems, managing projects, mentoring technicians, and overseeing vendor repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee MHE and facility equipment including Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems
- Lead a team of service technicians and develop training plans
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic and control components (ladder diagrams, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids)
- Create and close out work orders with labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used; develop job plans for emergency repair of critical assets
- Troubleshoot and diagnose material handling equipment (MHE) using safety-focused practices
Technical Overview
You will maintain MHE and facility equipment including Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems, using skills in relay logic and ladder diagrams and troubleshooting controls such as photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, and solenoids. You will also create and close work orders with maintenance data and plan emergency repairs using blueprint and electrical schematic understanding.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior mechatronics and robotics technician with 4+ years maintaining and repairing material handling equipment (MHE) and automated conveyor systems. They can read electrical schematics and blueprints, perform troubleshooting and diagnostics, and lead/mentor service technicians while managing vendors and work orders.
