About this role
This role leads external affairs efforts focused on building relationships with governmental officials and serving as the primary contact for elected officials, local media, and community stakeholders. It also directs community outreach and communications plans to support major projects and resolve emergent issues impacting EPS and customer satisfaction.

Technical Overview
The scope is stakeholder and communications operational management: manage government relations and media interactions, develop and execute community outreach and communications plans, and coordinate an early warning process for customer issues with internal leadership. It also includes emergency response coverage during storms or energy delivery emergencies.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior external affairs manager experienced in government relations, media relations, and community outreach. They build and maintain strong relationships with elected officials and civic stakeholders, provide strategic communications direction for high-impact projects, and can manage emergent issues—especially during emergency response situations.
