About this role
Lead development and management of NOC and Dispatcher training and standards aligned with FAA regulations and Southwest policies. Oversee dispatcher training sessions, qualification management, and ensure documentation and records remain compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and obtain FAA approval for the Dispatcher training program (basic, initial, recurrent)
- Instruct and/or monitor Dispatch training sessions (competency and proficiency checks)
- Develop and enhance Dispatch Training programs and methods
- Maintain records as required for FARs
- Maintain and update the Dispatch Operating Manual and related training documents
Technical Overview
This is an operational training and standards role focused on FAA/FAR compliance for airline dispatch training. The work includes preparing FAA-approved dispatcher training (basic, initial, recurrent), running competency/proficiency checks, and maintaining dispatch training and operating manuals.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior training and standards professional with hands-on experience supporting NOC and dispatch operations. They have led FAA-aligned training programs (basic, initial, recurrent), maintained qualification management, and managed training records and manuals in compliance with FARs.
