About this role

As a Sr Platform Appian Engineer II, you will support and enhance Pacific Life’s Investments Appian applications within the Institutional division. You’ll work with IT and business teams to troubleshoot, patch, and improve workflows while performing development, testing/debugging, and knowledge sharing in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure smooth operation by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and applying updates and patches
Design and implement improvements to existing Investments Appian applications to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Support end-user workflows by collaborating with technology and business teams on process and requirements
Create and review programming documentation and recommend development/maintenance/application standards
Perform process development and testing/debugging and conduct knowledge sharing sessions with Appian platform resources

Technical Overview

This is an Appian platform engineering role focused on Appian BPM Applications for Investments use cases. The engineer will deliver application support (monitoring, troubleshooting, patches) and implement enhancements using software development skills such as .NET, Java, Visual Basic, C#, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript, along with Appian integrations and plug-ins.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior Appian-focused platform engineer with 5+ years of experience designing and maintaining Appian BPM Applications. They have Appian Level 2 and/or Appian Level 3 certification and strong software development skills across .NET, Java, Visual Basic, and C#, plus experience supporting production applications through monitoring, troubleshooting, and patching in an Agile environment.
