About this role
Amazon Web Services is hiring a Senior Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer to support the design, technical evaluation, and continuous innovation of plumbing and fire protection systems for data centers. The role includes standardizing designs globally and resolving technical issues while communicating decisions to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Design resilient, cost effective plumbing and fire protection systems for data centers
- Conduct technical evaluation of designs and communicate decisions to Senior Management
- Drive standardization of designs across the global region in production data centers
- Resolve open technical issues in the plumbing and fire spaces
- Write technical documentation and serve as a subject matter expert
Technical Overview
You will work on data center infrastructure design focused on critical plumbing and fire-protection needs, ensuring resilient and cost-effective systems that support world-class uptime. The position involves hands-on field-informed design, technical documentation, and R&D of new technologies and design approaches applicable to Amazon’s data center footprint.
