About this role
The Sr Procurement Specialist provides dedicated procurement support for the Blue Point project, delivering procurement execution aligned to company processes and the project execution schedule. The role manages supplier relationships, supports contracting strategies, participates in stage gate reviews, and contributes to a risk management plan covering contract management, supply, and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement team goals aligned to Blue Point project plans and schedules
- Manage supplier cost, safety, risk, reliability, and capabilities
- Develop and deliver procurement project strategy including contracting strategies
- Ensure compliance to the procurement process and increase procurement involvement
- Participate in stage gate reviews and develop risk management plans for contract and supplier risks
Technical Overview
This is a procurement-focused role emphasizing day-to-day execution, supplier and contract management, and procurement process compliance. It includes stage gate review input/assurance and development and execution of a risk management plan to manage procurement and supply risks across the project lifecycle.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior procurement professional with strong project procurement and day-to-day execution experience supporting large capital initiatives. They are adept at managing supplier cost, safety, risk, and reliability, while ensuring contracting strategy alignment and procurement process compliance for stage gate reviews.
