About this role
This senior Quality Engineer role supports the engineering team with shop-floor assistance, testing and qualification documentation, and day-to-day quality issue response. The position also helps maintain AS9100 standards through audits, metrics, inspections, and RCCA follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate testing and qualification test instructions and perform internal testing
- Maintain AS9100 standards through scheduled internal and external quality audits
- Develop and document quality metrics aligned with AS9100 standards
- Track and follow up on Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCAs)
- Perform in process inspections and basic incoming inspections
Technical Overview
The work involves generating testing and qualification test instructions, performing internal testing, maintaining test and quality records and samples, and producing quality documentation such as test protocols, test reports, lab reports, and work instructions. The role includes in-process and incoming inspections and coordinating activities tied to AS9100 quality audits and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCAs).
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior Quality Engineer with at least 5 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing. They are AS9100-focused, comfortable scheduling and participating in internal/external audits, executing in-process and incoming inspections, and driving Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCAs) follow-up using well-documented test and quality procedures.
Must-Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering TechnologyMinimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering in manufacturingParticipate in scheduling for internal and external quality audits to maintain AS9100 standardsAssist in tracking and following up on Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCAs)Perform in process inspections and basic incoming inspections
