About this role
The Sr. Rotating Equipment Engineer provides technical expertise to ensure continuous and efficient plant operations. The role focuses on reliability and maintenance of rotating and reciprocating equipment, including condition monitoring, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and mechanical acceptance for installed equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead predictive and preventive maintenance programs using condition monitoring techniques
- Design and update maintenance procedures, lubrication programs, and preventive maintenance schedules
- Monitor critical equipment using continuous and offline data collection systems (e.g., Bently Nevada System1) and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct root cause failure analyses and prepare technical reports with recommendations
- Serve as mechanical acceptance specialist and oversee installation, testing, and commissioning for newly installed rotating equipment
Technical Overview
This position leads predictive and preventive maintenance programs using condition monitoring tools and techniques such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, and ultrasonic inspections. It uses continuous and offline data collection systems including Bently Nevada System1, performs root cause failure analyses, and supports mechanical acceptance, commissioning, and equipment installation/selection activities.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior rotating equipment engineer with hands-on experience leading predictive and preventive maintenance programs for critical rotating and reciprocating machinery. They have strong condition monitoring skills (including vibration analysis, oil analysis, and ultrasonic inspections) and can perform root cause failure analyses while producing technical reports and overseeing commissioning/installation activities.
