Senior Software Test Engineer role focused on developing and executing test plans, cases, and procedures to ensure IT systems meet standards and end-user requirements. You will lead testing activities, document results, and help resolve complex issues while reporting progress and driving improvements to test processes.

Key Responsibilities

Develops and executes test plans, test cases, and test procedures; Writes test cases and scripts and identifies data for test scenarios
Conducts walkthroughs on test case/script with Test Managers, Requirement Leads, Project Managers, and Development Leads
Leads tests of software and/or IT systems to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects
Documents and communicates test results; supports analysis and resolution of open issues

Technical Overview

The role centers on end-to-end software/IT verification: designing test schedules and approaches, writing test scripts and scenarios, performing walkthroughs with engineering and product stakeholders, and validating work products in a verification environment. You will also track daily test metrics, report defects/open issues, and occasionally support broader systems engineering activities such as requirements, design, installation, operation, and sustainment.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a senior software test engineer with 10+ years of hands-on testing experience and a strong track record creating and executing end-to-end test plans, cases, and scripts. They can lead complex testing efforts, document results and open issues clearly, and collaborate closely with development and project teams in a fully remote setting.
