Senior Systems Integration Engineer for Service Innovation supports the OTTAVA robotic system within R&D, coordinating hardware/software integration, troubleshooting, and serviceability across lab environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify root cause and resolve issues; test and debug in clinical labs; collaborate across hardware/software teams; maintain system configuration; contribute to service roadmap
Technical Overview
Focus on electromechanical systems, robotics, MBSE, scripting (C++, Python, Ansible), and lab validation with Confluence, Jira, and Git for configuration and collaboration.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior systems integration engineer with a strong foundation in software/hardware integration, robotics, and MBSE, with hands-on experience in electromechanical systems, scripting, and lab environments.
Must-Have Skills
Minimum BS in Engineering (e.g.ElectricalMechanicalSoftware Engineeringor other equivalent degree) with 5+ years of industry experience or MS Engineering or other equivalent degree with 3+ years of industry experience.Ability to leadmentorand delegate to other engineers and technicians.Fundamental understanding across softwarecontrolsroboticsmechanicaland electrical engineering. Depth in one or more of the above subject areaswith ability to quickly come up to speed in new technical areas.Experience partitioning and decomposing sophisticated engineering problems into solvable problems.Understanding of engineering concepts such as system architectureimplementationtestingand maintenance.Proven understanding of programming concepts and ability to modify existing code (C++Pythonetc.).Excellent self-starter with a can-do demeanor.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Hands-on experience with electromechanical or robotic systems.Travel: Up to 20% travel in the US.
