About this role
Dialpad is seeking a Senior System Administrator for its Data Centers team. The role owns hardware and cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence, including automation, observability, performance, security hardening, and capacity planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Own hardware and cloud infrastructures for reliability and scalability
- Manage lifecycle of global server fleet
- Lead automation, observability, and performance initiatives
- Perform capacity planning including physical data center needs
- Evaluate security initiatives like intrusion detection/prevention and system/security hardening
Technical Overview
You will manage administration and lifecycle of a global server fleet and lead initiatives in automation, observability, and performance. You will also evaluate hardware and colocation options, design cloud expansion strategies across providers and regions, and implement intrusion detection/prevention and system/security hardening.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior System Administrator with strong data center and cloud infrastructure experience, focused on reliability, scalability, automation, and observability. They have led server fleet administration and capacity planning, and they have implemented security improvements such as intrusion detection/prevention and system/security hardening.
