Mechanical Engineer for Amazon Robotics North Reading, developing hardware for autonomous robotic systems from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- From concept to production: specification, design, prototyping, validation, testing
- Collaborate with Ops, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and vendors
- Write requirements and design verification plans
- Document designs per ANSI Y-14.5; manage ECOs
- Lead cross-functional automation of experiments
Technical Overview
Hands-on mechanical design with SolidWorks; CAD modeling; design verification and test procedures; experience with PLM, ECOs, and ANSI Y-14.5; electronics packaging and PCBA considerations.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical engineering with 4+ years of hardware design experience, proficient in SolidWorks and CAD, and hands-on proof-of-concept prototyping. They should be comfortable with end-to-end hardware development from concept through production and documentation per ANSI Y-14.5.
