Staff AI/ML Engineer will own and evolve GM's CI Platform, focusing on scalable cloud tooling to accelerate AV software development. The role requires mentoring engineers, contributing to the tech roadmap, and delivering measurable improvements in developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Identify engineering pain points and propose/design/implement solutions that are reliable, scalable, and maintainable
Influence the team's technical roadmap
Evaluate new tools and technologies through PoCs
Ship improvements to our AV development toolchains and services
Mentor and grow engineers on the team

Technical Overview

THIS role centers on building and operating production-grade CI/CD pipelines and tooling on cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure) with Go, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes. Familiarity with Open Source contributions, GitHub/GitLab, and testing frameworks is essential.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a staff-level AI/ML engineer with 7+ years designing and operating production-scale cloud services, strong Go and Python skills, and hands-on Docker/Kubernetes experience. They should have a track record mentoring engineers, influencing roadmaps, and delivering scalable CI platforms in an automotive/AI context.
