About this role
Staff Applied AI Engineer will partner with enterprise clients to design and deploy advanced AI agents and workflows using Scale's Generative Platform, spanning multimodal capabilities and tool-calling.
Key Responsibilities
- Own, plan, and optimize the AI behind our Enterprise customer’s deepest technical problems
- Leverage Scale Generative Platform to build advanced AI agents (multimodal, tool-calling)
- Gather business requirements and translate into technical solutions
- Collaborate onsite with customer teams and Scale teams
- Push production code in multiple development environments
Technical Overview
Role focuses on ML solution development in cloud environments (AWS, GCP) using Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas) and large language models, with production deployment across customer and Scale codebases.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior AI/ML engineer with 7+ years of full-time experience, strong cloud and Python skills, and a track record delivering generative AI solutions at enterprise scale.
Must-Have Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics or related fieldor equivalent strong engineering backgroundProficiency in Python to writetest and debug codeExperience with cloud technology stack (AWS or GCP)
Nice-to-Have Skills
Strong knowledge of software engineering best practicesExperience applying Generative AI in productionFamiliarity with state-of-the-art LLMs and their strengths/weaknesses
