Startup Solutions Architect, San Francisco Early Stage Startups

Amazon is seeking a Startup Solutions Architect embedded in the San Francisco startup ecosystem. You will work hands-on with early-stage founders across industries to shape practical architectures and productionize GenAI-powered products.

• Design and iterate on scalable architectures with early-stage founders
• Advise startups on selecting foundation models and AI services for production-ready GenAI products
• Guide GenAI application challenges including model costs, latency, accuracy, safety, and AI best practices
• Support data foundations using vector databases, data pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or fine-tuning workflows
• Connect founder feedback and needs to product and engineering

The role focuses on advising startups on GenAI from foundation model selection through production readiness, including managing model costs, latency, accuracy, and safety. You will also guide data foundation design using vector databases, data pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and fine-tuning workflows.

The ideal candidate is a Solutions Architect who has supported early-stage startups with practical, scalable architecture decisions, especially for GenAI applications. They are comfortable advising on foundation models, productionizing AI products, and implementing data foundations such as vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
