About this role
State Regulatory Reporting Analyst compiles and completes state filings, regulatory filings, and premium taxes for all Berkshire Hathaway companies; reviews assessments for accuracy and develops procedures; creates PC-based reports using Excel and Access.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculates premium taxes, fees and assessments for various states
- Reviews regulatory and industry bulletins to identify changes in regulations
- Reviews assessments based on statistics and allocates costs
- Develops and modifies PC programs using Excel and Access
- Communicates with company personnel and state regulatory agencies
Technical Overview
Uses Excel and Access to build summaries and statements; researches compliance issues and implements procedures to meet requirements; communicates with regulators.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an entry-level regulatory reporting analyst with 1-2 years of experience in insurance regulatory reporting, strong Excel and Access skills, and the ability to develop PC-based reporting applications.
