Dollar General Store Manager Candidate position in Chesapeake is a transitional role that supports the Store Manager with staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling to ensure store performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recruiting and staffing activities
- Assist with store merchandising by stocking, staging, and presenting merchandise
- Assist in all aspects of inventory management (damages, markdowns, scanning, paperwork)
- Follow prescribed ordering practices to meet in-stock targets
- Provide superior customer service leadership and cashier accountability
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a retail professional with at least 1 year of store experience, strong cash handling and inventory skills, and the ability to lead merchandising and staffing efforts on-site in Chesapeake.
