About this role
This role supports the Store Manager by helping execute all store processes, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and paperwork. It is intended to develop an external candidate for a future Store Manager role for a limited period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recruiting and staffing activities
- Assist with store merchandising and presentation
- Assist with inventory management and conduct inventories
- Follow ordering practices to meet in-stock targets
- Operate store in store manager's absence and ensure cash and security compliance
Technical Overview
The position focuses on operational execution in a retail store: inventory accuracy (including damages and markdowns), register scanning, facility controls, ordering to meet in-stock targets, and review of operating statements for business trends such as sales, labor, profitability, and inventory turn.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a retail operations leader who can support store management with staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and day-to-day store execution. They should have strong customer service leadership skills and be able to manage cash accountability, key control, and store openings/closings while maintaining financial integrity.
