About this role
The Store Manager Candidate role supports the Store Manager in implementing store processes including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, stocking and receiving, and completing paperwork. It is intended to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager role for a limited period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist recruiting and staffing activities
- Support merchandising and correct signing/pricing of merchandise
- Execute inventory management and prepare inventories
- Maintain in-stock targets through prescribed ordering practices
- Ensure financial integrity via safe deposits, cashier accountability, key control, and security/cash control procedures

This role focuses on store operations execution: merchandising/staging, inventory control (damages, markdowns, register scanning, facility controls), ordering to meet in-stock targets, and financial integrity via cashier accountability, key control, security practices, safe deposits, and cash control procedures.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a retail operations leader who can support Store Manager duties across staffing, merchandising, inventory execution, and store compliance. They can safely manage cash and deposits, run store processes during the Store Manager’s absence, and use operating statements (sales, labor, profitability, inventory turn) to recognize business trends.
