About this role
Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in implementing store processes across supervision, staffing, inventory management, stocking/receiving, and required paperwork. The role is used to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager position for a limited period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist recruiting and staffing
- Manage inventory and prepare inventories
- Ensure ordering meets in-stock targets
- Support safe deposit and cash controls
- Review operating statements and business trends
Technical Overview
Focuses on retail operations management and financial integrity activities such as safe deposit of funds, cashier accountability, key control, cash control procedures, and reviewing operating statements for sales, labor, profitability, and inventory turn trends.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced retail operations leader who can support a Store Manager by supervising employees, managing inventory, and executing stocking/receiving and paperwork. They also demonstrate strong financial integrity practices including cashier accountability, key control, and safe deposit procedures, while providing superior customer service leadership.
