About this role
The Store Manager Candidate role supports the Store Manager in executing store processes such as employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, stocking and receiving, and store paperwork. The position is designed to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager role and is held for a limited period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist recruiting and staffing activities
- Support merchandising and correct signing/pricing of merchandise
- Execute inventory management and prepare inventories
- Maintain in-stock targets through prescribed ordering practices
- Ensure financial integrity via safe deposits, cashier accountability, key control, and security/cash control procedures
Technical Overview
The job is centered on operational execution: merchandising and merchandising presentation, inventory management including damages and markdown processes with register scanning and facility controls, and financial integrity via safe deposits, cashier accountability, key control, security practices, and cash control procedures.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a retail leadership-focused professional who can support store operations across staffing, merchandising, inventory control, and store compliance. They should be able to ensure safe deposits and maintain cashier and key control, while also running store operations during the Store Manager’s absence.
