About this role
The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager by helping implement core store processes, including supervising employees, managing inventory, merchandising, handling paperwork, and ensuring store readiness. This role also serves as a limited-period pathway to develop an external candidate for the Store Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recruiting and staffing activities
- Assist with store merchandising including staging, stocking and storage of merchandise
- Assist with inventory management including damages, markdowns, register scanning and paperwork
- Follow ordering practices to meet or exceed in-stock targets
- Operate store in store manager's absence
Technical Overview
The role is non-technical and focuses on retail store operations: inventory management, ordering practices, merchandising execution, cashier accountability, key control, and daily store opening/closing. It requires following SOP processes and reviewing operating statements to identify trends and opportunities.
