About this role
Store Manager Candidate role supporting the Store Manager in all store processes including staffing, inventory management, stocking and receiving, paperwork and store needs. This position develops an external candidate for the Store Manager role for a limited period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recruiting and staffing activities
- Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising
- Provide superior customer service leadership
- Open/close store; ensure cash control and bank deposits
- Review operating statements for trends and opportunities
Technical Overview
Retail operations scope includes staff recruitment, inventory and merchandising, cash handling and security, and SOP compliance; familiarity with IBM cash registers and POS reporting.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a store manager candidate with proven retail leadership, responsible for staffing, inventory control, and maintaining a strong customer experience in a rural Tennessee Dollar General store.
